Please understand that personal coaching does not treat mental disorders as defined by the American Psychiatric Association. Personal coaching is not a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, clinical mental health care, or substance abuse treatment and should not replace such therapy.Once a coaching relationsip is established, the Coach will not switch to therapy. If topics arise that the client or Coach believes would be best served by the client seeing a mental health professional, an appropriate referral will be made.
