About Me
Understanding the background and qualifications of your therapist or coach is crucial. Here's a little about myself:
I am a mother of five young adult children, including one adopted child and one member of the LGBTQ+ community (shared with their permission). I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-A) as well as a Crisis Intervention Specialist (CIC-CSp) and a National Board Certified Life Coach (BCC).
With over two decades of experience, I have worked extensively in the non-profit and humanitarian aid sector specializing in crisis intervention and trauma recovery. I often work with least resourced communities around the globe.
My professional journey is dedicated to providing empathetic and trauma-informed care to individuals impacted by life crisis, conflict, and transition In addition to my expertise in trauma recovery, I am also an IFS-informed practitioner and consistently utilize evidence-based modalities in my counseling practice including TFACT (trauma focused ACT) and Narrative Exposure Therapy.
I integrate solution focused techniques for coaching as well as motivational interviewing and ACT.
Whether you are seeking therapy or life coaching, it would be my privilege to support and accompany you on your path to healing and personal growth.
Personalized Support
Every client is distinct, each bringing their own personal history, challenges, strengths and aspirations into the therapeutic relationships. I am committed to listening attentively and working closely to craft the most effective path forward for YOU.
My practice is both faith-affirming and inclusive, respecting the role spirituality may play in your journey while also affirming members of the LGBTQ+ community. This is YOUR journey, and I welcome everyone seeking to heal and grow.
